We Believe that Jesus Christ is Lord.
We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead on the third day. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:11)
We Believe in Participating in the Lord’s Supper.
We share communion every 1st Sunday during worship service. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come. (I Corinthians 11:26)
We Believe that the Bible is the Word of God.
We believe the Bible is God’s word and not an allegory or a fable. We take instruction from the Bible in the areas of life and faith, we search it for the answers to life. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)
We Believe in Baptism by Immersion.
People who are saved and join Eliot Church are baptized by immersion. As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. (Matthew 3:16)
We believe in Spreading the Gospel.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:19-20)
