“Eliot is the greatest Church in the Whole world because it has some of the greatest people in the World serving a  Greater God.”  Dr. Reverend Evan C. Hines  2008

The Church in our generation has been and always will be God’s plan for bringing hope, life and the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world.

The book of Acts presents the Church as it is born and multiplies in the first century.  Here, the Church is presented as an army of influence with the Gospel, empowered by God to go beyond all limits.

As 21st-century believers, the same God enables us by this same power—the Holy Spirit—to live out our faith and fulfill God’s purpose in this generation. Yet, today we have the added blessing and responsibility of making use of expanded tools and technologies to do extraordinary works for the glory of God.

In Isaiah 54, we find signature verses describing what Eliot is undertaking in these days:

  • To build “The Greatest Church in the World.”
  • “And the Lord answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon the tables, that he may run that readeth it.”

Our Mission is to minister to this community.  We must direct our efforts towards all ages and meet the full range of needs.  This calls for a ministry that is moral, spiritual, social, recreational, academic, vocational, personal, domestic, economic and political.

Our greatest resources are our God and our people.  A pervasive spirit of goodwill and commitment are essential in fulfilling Christ’s command to “Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature” Mark 16:15

“Enlarge the place of your tent and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out: Do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left, and your offspring will posses the nations and will people the desolate cities.”
